Our Story
In 2015, two professional women, Yvonne Chenier, a lawyer with decades of experience specializing in nonprofit law, and Betty Thompson, a Chartered Professional Accountant with years of service to nonprofit clients, were chatting over lunch about the work they did on behalf of many organizations they mutually served and the lack of coordinated and accessible information on legal and financial matters for nonprofits and charities.
The plan to create an educational and impactful multidisciplinary organization was germinated. Through many meetings and discussions, including several planning retreats, they formed their vision of a nonprofit organization that would educate nonprofits and charities throughout Alberta about legal issues and financial management.
In 2017, IntegralOrg came into being as a registered charity. Today, IntegralOrg has a dedicated team of staff, volunteers, and service providers delivering client-focused education and support in governance, strategic planning, leadership, management, risk management, and fundraising to help nonprofits and charities across Alberta grow and evolve their organizations.
